How do you calculate all this? Do you really keep track of every time you get in and out of a taxi? That is way more dedication that I would have - I'd invariably forget.

I don't know... I wasn't allowed to have a watch as a child, so when I finally started wearing one, I'd look at it a lot... I glance at my watch whenever I start doing something and when I'm done, especially now that I'm choosing to keep track of stuff like taxi time.
