Sunset Beach, NC, USA - Eating, Sleeping, and Sand |

Sunday, August 14, 2005 I don't even know what day it is. I will have to find out after I write this, so I can label the entry properly. Michael and I are at Sunset beach, having an amazingly wonderful but non-literarily compelling vacation. His parents have rented a beachhouse here every summer for the past twenty or so years. This is my third year joining them, but my first time staying the whole two weeks and let me tell you, it is nice. Nothing's going on except family dynamics and they threatened to sue for royalites if I wrote about them... I am pretty sure they are joking, but... well, it's like any family, but with sand. Guys, please don't give up on the travelogue. Things will start happening when we get to Mexico and start trying to hablar Espanol. We're being super lazy right now. Some good news: I just got my check for a story to be published in an upcoming Travelers' Tales volume. It's a good feeling. Whoa. It's August 14th?? I have been unemployed--I mean, a writer--for a whole month?? HOURS ON THE BUS: 0 1 comments so far | Post a comment
